This site has ONLINE and OFFLINE lodgings.

OFFLINE Lodgings

Offline lodgings are those lodgings where the client cannot make reservations to through the system. However, the system offers the possibility of filling in a form with your request, which will be either emailed or faxed (if the lodging does not have an e-mail address) to the lodging, at no cost for you. After that, it is up to the lodging to answer directly to you, as the system is not involved any more. We recommend that you also give your fax number because some lodgings do not have email and can contact you only by fax.

ONLINE Lodgings

You can make a reservation through the system to an online lodging. The steps to follow are simple:

Step 1: Choose the lodging

Choose a lodging either directly if you know the name, or by searching its locality. If you do not exactly know where you are going, search the maps, choose a locality and then search for lodgings in that locality. You can choose to see only the "Hotels" or only the "Rooms and Apartments" or "All".

Step 2: Choose the particular room type of the lodging

In the list of the room types you will see different rates, prices, and by clicking on Room Details for each Room Type, you will see the cancellation policy, and all the other details for the particular Room Type. Choose the Room Type you prefer, the nights of stay and the number of adults and children.

Step 3: Check Availability for a room type

The system will tell you if there is availability, and if not, whether you can find availability in a room type by making minor changes in dates or the number of rooms. There are 2 possibilities here:
3.1 The Lodging has given availability unconditionally.
3.2 The Lodging has given availability tentatively (i.e. the lodging must confirm it).

Step 4: Make a reservation

You will be presented with your choice of Room Type and all the details of the reservation, and asked to fill you data and chosse a way of payment. Depending on the lodging's policy, one or more of the following ways of payment will be presented to you to choose from and fill your data.

  • 4.1 Credit Card Your credit card number etc. will be transferred to the Lodging, to draw the required deposit.
  • 4.2 Bank Transfer The lodging will hold the reservation for a period of time after availability confirmation to give you time to transfer the deposit amount to the bank account of the lodging.
  • 4.3 Open Account This choice appears only if you are a regular business partner with the lodging and you have made special business arrangements with it.
    This step isn't final! You can click "Make Reservation" and still cancel it in the next screen, when you will be asked for final confirmation.

    Step 5: Confirm Reservation

    All reservation details appear once again and you are asked whether to go ahead with the reservation or cancel it at no cost.

    After you have made a reservation you will be notified by email and a special number will be given to you to watch the processing of your reservation. You may still cancel your reservation at no cost if the penalty cancellation period (as defined in the Reservation Details) has not started. However, if you cancel after the start of the penalty cancellation period, you will lose your deposit. All cancellations, even late ones, must be made through this system. If you haven't cancelled the reservation and you do not show up or do not notify the lodging of your inability to show up, the lodging may charge you according to its No Show Policy.
    This system acts only as an intermediary. It is not involved in the actual transaction between you and the Lodging. It is paid a small fee by the lodging for its services.

    Example 1

    The lodging accepts credit cards only and has given unconditional availability to the system. After Step 5 where you confirm your reservation, you will get a confirmation of your reservation by email and the lodging will have your credit card to draw the deposit. If you cancel before the penalty cancellation period, your deposit will either not be drawn, or, if already drawn, will be refunded to you by the lodging.

    Example 2

    The lodging accepts credit cards only and as given tentative availability to the system (i.e. the lodging must confirm it). After Step 5, you will be sent an email requesting that you wait for up to 24 hrs. until availability confirmation from the lodging. If the lodging does not confirm the reservation, your credit card data will not be given to it. If it does, then you will receive an email and the lodging will be given your credit card data. You can always watch the status of your reservation in the Reservation Details. If you cancel your reservation before the start of the penalty period, the deposit will not be drawn from your credit card, or, if already drawn, will be refunded to you by the lodging.

    Example 3

    The Lodging accepts Bank Transfers and has given unconditional availability to the system. After Step 5 where you confirm your reservation, you will get a confirmation of your reservation by email, and you are given 3 to 7 days (depending on lodging policy) to transfer the deposit amount to the bank account of the lodging. Please note that in some extreme cases, it takes 5 or 6 days for a money transfer between two banks. If the time period expires and the lodging has not confirmed having received the deposit, the reservation will be cancelled and both you and the lodging will be notified by email.

    Example 4

    The Lodging accepts Bank Transfers and has given tentative availability to the system.     Frequently Asked Questions

    How do I obtain a login name and password?

    You can become a member (it is free) and obtain a login name and password. This way the system will be able to group all your reservations together and easily watch their status.

    How do I change my personal data?

    You can change it by clicking on "My Info".

    How do I make changes in my reservation?

    Visit the details of your reservation (either through the link we provide you with the email when you make a reservation, or by logging in as a customer) and you can change the travelers (click on Travelers' List).

    My reservation has been cancelled after availability confirmation by the lodging!

    This may happen either because you failed to transfer the deposit within the time the lodging has given you, or you have given an invalid credit card, or one that expires before the day of arrival.

    I have transferred the deposit to the lodging's bank account but my reservation has been cancelled!

    This may happen if the funds arrived late at the lodging's bank. In this case, please ask the lodging to return the deposit.

    Should I print the reservation details?

    It is not necessary but we strongly recommend that you print it and carry it with you when you travel.
